Anthony is a certified Red Cross volunteer.

Anthony comes to Faculty Services as the Lead Blackboard Administrator after serving in a similar role for 13 years at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, TX. Anthony went to work at A&M after studying Computer Science and Management Information Systems there. He is also ITIL-certified.

A native of Brownsville, TX, he and his wife decided to seek a change of pace from life in Corpus Christi and coming to Emory has enabled them to enjoy life in Atlanta. A certified Red Cross volunteer, Anthony specializes in computer satellite configuration and has aided in several national disaster rescue operations.

Anthony loves the Dallas Cowboys and spends most of his time raising two teenagers. The Hess’ are avid Jeep off-roaders, which leads to his family spending time at the beach, rock climbing, and camping. According to Anthony, JEEP stands for “Just Empty Every Pocket.”
