Sarah Ward has been appointed to the position of Music and Media Library Coordinator, where she will be coordinating music and media workflow at the Music and Media Service Desk, which includes circulation, booking, and student coordination.

Before assuming this new role, Sarah worked for ten years in Interlibrary Loan as a library specialist at Emory, where she did borrowing and lending. Before that she worked at a C. Dickens Rare and Collectible Books and Maps store in Atlanta.

Sarah graduated from Emory with a Bachelor of Arts in religion and anthropology. She also holds the equivalent of a Bachelor of Music degree, earned during her time in the Library. A native of Milwaukee, WI, Sarah moved to Atlanta to attend Emory and never left.

A dramatic mezzo soprano, Sarah sings in the chorus and chamber chorus of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) and has toured all over the world. She also sings in the Schola Cantorum of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta. WQXR recently published an ASO performance of Benjamin Britten’s War Requiem at Carnergie Hall.
