John Pine joins Client Services after spending the past 16 years in Campus Services IT, where he worked most recently as OS Admin Analyst Lead. Before his time at Emory he did IT support for MicroConsultations in Alpharetta, GA, and a regional computer support company in Tucker, GA. John has been in IT since May of 1980. “The good ol’ days,” says John, who remembers working with Apple IIs and 8080 CPM machines, the first IBM PC.
Born in Germany in an Air Force family, John grew up in Montgomery, AL. He got a degree in electronics from John Patterson State Technical College in Montgomery. He is planning on becoming SCCM-certified.
In his free time, John and his wife Sharon, a fellow Emory employee, enjoy live music and concerts and spending time at their new lake house in Lake Martin, AL. They have spent a lot of time and effort working on the house and plan to eventually have a boat of their own.
