Chili Cook-off and Dessert Bake-off needs you

chiliLast week, we announced the date for the LITS Annual Chili Cook-off and Dessert Bake-off. Held this year on Thursday, October 30 (with a rain date of Friday, October 31), the Cook-off/Bake-off is one of the most anticipated events of the year. We would love for you to participate as a contestant or just as our guest for good food and great fun.

However, as of this writing only TWO people have signed up as contestants. Normally we have between 25-30. If you think you can make a great chili or have a favorite family dessert recipe, CLICK THIS LINK NOW to sign up. We must have all entries by Friday, October 24th.

Here are a few more details:

Date: Thursday, October 30, 2014 (Rain Date Friday, October 31)
Time: 11:30 to 1:30 pm
Location: 1762 Back Parking Lot
Parking:  The lot will be roped off so please carpool, take the shuttle or park in the upper parking lot.

Chili batches should be large enough to serve 10-13 people (usually one crock pot full).

LITS Business and Administration is sponsoring this event. If you are interested in submitting your chili recipe we will reimburse up to $30 for the cost of ingredients for your chili ($30 max per entry – remember to send me your receipt). We will supply soft drinks, chili toppers, chips, eating utensils, and eco-friendly paper products.

What a great way to celebrate the Fall with a big bowl of chili and homemade desserts, while getting to know your coworkers. We understand that since we are a 24/7/365 operation not everyone will be able to participate. Hopefully future events will accommodate different schedules.

There will be prizes to the winning chili and dessert participants. We look forward to seeing everyone.
