On a beautiful October day, various staff around LITS gathered in the 1762 parking lot to partake in the Annual LITS Chili Cook-off and Dessert Bake-off. Sponsored by Business and Administration and organized by Kim Comstock (Business and Administration), the event featured 19 chili entries, 11 desserts, and 10 costume contestants.

In the chili competition, Wade Moricle (Campus and Community Relations) took first place with beef chuck chili. Danny Bridges (Enterprise Applications) came in second and Amir Ali (Enterprise Services) took third. Sriram Chari (IT Operations) received honorable mention for making the best vegetarian chili.

In the dessert category, Linda Nodine (Business and Administration) won the grand prize with her bourbon brownies. Second went to Celeste Hermida (Business and Administration) and third place was captured by Lindsay Paroczai (Web Design). Honorable mention went to Marc Overcash (UIT) because of the intricate design of his Ghost Brownies.

The costume contest was won by Bernard Sanders (Infrastructure) for his evil-looking Jeepers Creepers. Teresa Fleetwood and LaKysha Mack (both of Business and Administration) finished second and third, respectively.
