The sustainable holiday tree.

Something about the holidays brings out the craftiness in all sorts of people.

Garrett Southwell, the sustainability representative for the 1599 Building, used coffee holders to create a unique Holiday Tree. He was aiming for the strength of a honeycomb structure.

As it turned out, paperclips were what was needed. The snow-capped effect is made by putting the white holders on top. Co-worker Jeanette Hanson contributed the decorations for a lovely finishing touch.

Drink enough coffee and you too can amaze your friends and family with your creativity.
