Dr. Alex Tudor is part Romanian, part German, and loves playing chess.

Alex Tudor comes to Emory from SunTrust Bank, where he supported the software of commercial accounts as an integration engineer. Before that he worked as an IT team lead and project manager for Panasonic for two years. He also worked in the oil industry in Houston, Texas, and has over 15 years in the IT industry.

Born and raised in Brasov, Romania, Alex earned his bachelor’s degree in geological engineering from the University of Bucharest. He received a master’s of information technology and a PhD in applied computer science from North Central State College.

Alex is a tireless weightlifter, spending as much as two hours a day at the gym. He likes to write and while currently earning his PMP certification, Alex is writing a book about the process. He also plays chess, reads philosophy, and takes care of his dog Jack, a lab.
