LITS was well-represented at Staff Fest, held on Friday, May 15, with scores of employees taking in the festivities. This year’s event featured a run/walk, line dancing, a climbing wall, volleyball, and a variety of food vendors.

  • Garrett Southwell – 2nd place – Men’s 50+ – 15:45
  • Molly Kent – 2nd place – Women’s 40-49 – 19:03
  • Lanta Dodson – 1st place – Women’s 50+ – 18:06

One of the highlights of the festival was a line dancing performance by the Library Lovelies. The group was led by Linda Nodine, who is also inviting anyone who wants to get fit through dance to join.

The line dancing group meets at least 2 days a week in the Jones Room from 12:15 pm to 12:45 pm. No need to change clothes, just wear some comfortable shoes or socks. There is also no need to have any special skill or talent, they will teach the steps and you go at your own pace and level.

If you are interested in line dancing, contact Linda or Nydia and they will add you to their email list.
