“Barbecue in east Carolina is the best!” – Elizabeth Peele.

Elizabeth Peele is the new Systems Librarian within the Library Core Systems Team.   Many of you may remember Elizabeth from her time working at the Emory Libraries with her stints in GovDocs and the Beck Center.

She is coming to Emory from her most recent position at the UNC Chapel Hill Wilson Library where she was both a Research Assistant and Post-Processing Manager for the Digital Production Center. She also worked for the writing center and digital collections at the Thomas Cooper Library at the University of South Carolina.

A native of Goldsboro, NC, Elizabeth has an MSIS from UNC Chapel Hill, an MA in English from University of South Carolina, and a BA from Emory in English and Russian language.

Newly married to Kesley Mumpower, Elizabeth spends her free time reading about science and math and enjoys baking, especially cakes. She also loves old movies, especially Frank Kapra and movies that include Clark Gable.

“This is a rapidly-changing area,” said Elizabeth, “and I am really excited to be a part of this process.”
