“The Rose Library is a wonderful staff of professionals who challenge me every day.” – Heather Oswald

Heather Oswald is the new public services and outreach archivist for the Rose Library. In that role, she helps curate the exhibits on the tenth floor of Woodruff and works with curators across the library system to facilitate the use of Rose materials and exhibitions. She also performs public programing, reference services, and helps manage the Rose Library’s social media and website.

Before coming to Emory, Heather spent five years as the archivist and outreach manager at Kennesaw State University and over three years as the archivist and manager of visual resources for the Frank Lloyd Wright Preservation Trust in Chicago. She also interned at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY.

A native of Detroit, MI, Heather has a degree in history from the University of Michigan and has master’s degrees from Loyola University in Chicago and Clayton State University in public history and archival studies, respectively. She is also a certified archivist.

In her free time, Heather loves hiking, wine tasting and cooking, with risotto being her favorite dish to cook.
