Kelly Smith spent four years in a special forces unit.

Kelly Smith recently joined Field Services as a Communication Specialist I. Before coming to Emory, Kelly worked for four years as a site foreman at NCI, a communications company. Prior to that, Kelly spent sixteen year at Venture Net Comm, where he started as a field manager, then became an operations manager.

Born and raised in El Paso,Tx, Kelly went to school at the University of Texas, where he studied electrical engineering. After spending four years in the Army’s special forces, Kelly decided he needed a job and that Georgia was the right place.

For fun, Kelly is a boy scout leader. He enjoys skiing with his troop in NC and TN. Kelly has been married for twenty years with four children.

“I’m really excited to work for Emory. It is nice to have a job where I no longer have to travel. It has changed my life,” said Kelly.
