Solomon Hilliard joined the IT Operations team to do middleware administration following a recent career in which he retrained from being a lab technician into becoming a web developer and middleware admin. Solomon’s previous experience was a one-year stint as a web developer at AT&T (via Apex Systems contracting company) and four years as a GC-MS (Gas Chromatography Mass Spec) Technologist for LabCorp.

A native of North Carolina’s Triangle area (Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill), Solomon earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from North Carolina Central University. He is also certified in Ruby on Rails through the Iron Yard Academy.

When he’s away from work, Solomon enjoys gaming, photography and working on cars.

“Emory LITS has been a great experience so far,” said Solomon. “The people are very friendly and considerate. It’s a great working atmosphere.”
