Christina Tatum, Stacks Quality Control Supervisor, Emory Libraries

“I am very enthusiastic about this work.” – Christina Tatum

Christina Tatum is the new quality control supervisor in stacks in the Woodruff Library. Before coming to Emory, she worked for five years as a circulation assistant at Savannah State University. She also was an intern for the Secretary of State of Illinois in Chicago.

Currently enrolled at Valdosta State University to earn her master of library science degree, Christina holds a bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Savannah State.

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Christina attended McNair and Lithonia high schools and is an avid reader (the standard response from all library employees) and loves to bake. She also volunteers with her daughter Morgan’s Girl Scout troop.

“I was already familiar with Emory through its HBCU online library workshops,” said Christina, “but to actually come here and be a part of this place has been amazing. I’m impressed by the scale of it all. I am very enthusiastic about this work.”
