“I am enjoying the software engineering challenges at work.” – Devanshu Matlawala

Devanshu Matlawala (pronounced deh-VAN-shoe MAT-lah-wah-lah) recently joined the Library Technology and Digital Strategies team as a software engineer. He previously worked for about a year at the University of Alabama as a web architect and instructional developer.

Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Devanshu has a bachelor’s degree of computer engineering from Mumbai University and a master’s degree of computer science from George Washington University, Washington, DC.

He likes to watch movies and play basketball in his free time. Devanshu used to represent his city in basketball tournaments when he was in India. He likes to cook as well.

“I am liking the new job and environment,” said Devanshu. “It’s very different but exciting at the same time. My teammates are great and have been very helpful in getting me settled in the office. I am enjoying the software engineering challenges at work.”
