Mark your Calendars! It’s that time of year!
The Annual Chili Cook-off, Dessert Bake-off and, new this year, Pumpkin Carving Contest will be held on October 31, from 11:30 to 1:30 in the rear parking lot of the 1762 Building. The back lot will be roped off so please carpool, take the shuttle or park in the upper parking lot (hang tag access required).
We would love for you to participate as a contestant, judge, or attend as our guest for good food and great fun.
In order to make this a success we need between 20-25 chili and dessert submissions. Chili batches should be large enough to serve 10-13 people (usually one crock pot full). If you are willing to put your chili or dessert recipe to the test, please let us know.

NEW THIS YEAR! Instead of a costume contest, we will have a pumpkin carving contest! We will supply the pumpkins. You must pick up your pumpkin on Tuesday, October 29, (details for pickup will be available later) and deliver your carved pumpkin to 1762 by noon on October 31. That gives you two evenings to carve your pumpkin. Prizes to the best three carvings.

LITS: Business and Administration and the staff at 1762 sponsor the event. If you are interested in submitting your chili recipe, we will reimburse up to $30 for the cost of ingredients for your chili ($30 max per entry – remember keep your receipt and submit your own reimbursement request or submit through Service Now: https://emory.service-now.com/sp?id=index ).
Magnum P.I. attended last year with his friend TC, who was clearly undercover as a LITS employee.
We will supply soft drinks, chili toppers, chips, eating utensils, and eco-friendly paper products.
What a great way to celebrate the Fall, and hopefully cooler weather, with a big bowl of Chili, homemade desserts, and great coworkers!
We understand that since we are a 24/7/365 operation not everyone will be able to participate. Hopefully future events will accommodate different schedules.
