Nominations are currently being sought for 2019/20 LITS Significant Contribution Awards (SCAs). This is our annual opportunity to recognize our most significant contributions toward LITS objectives and Emory’s mission. Therefore, please consider nominating a team member that you believe has made such a contribution. As a reminder, please note the following regarding the SCA program:

  • Timing: The presentation of the SCA awards will occur at LEAP! (the LITS Employee Appreciation Party), scheduled for May 14.
  • Significant Contribution Awards Will Focus on Individuals: LITS is committed to recognizing both outstanding individual and team contributions, but we have found that it can be difficult to administer a single award program that does both effectively. Therefore, the Significant Contribution Award program will focus on individual nominations only, similar to the Emory Award of Distinction. For team or group contributions, we will pursue separate recognition efforts that could include project or team awards, or celebration events upon project completion. For more information on the SCA program and to view the LITS Rewards Program summary, please click here.

To submit a nomination for individuals who have made exceptional contributions, including those whose contributions were related to a team effort, please complete the nomination form located here and forward it to Khadijah Muhammad at khadijah [dot] muhammad [at] emory [dot] edu by Friday, March 27. Note that any LITS employee can nominate any other LITS employee for such an award. A committee comprised of LITS Directors, Library Cabinet members, and Human Resources will review the nominations and make recommendations to LITS leadership regarding which nominations will result in awards.

The nomination form provides additional details about program criteria and the nomination process. That said, please feel free to contact Dir, Human Resources, Rob Renner, or Human Resources Associate, Khadijah Muhammad, if you have questions.

Thank you for your consideration as we look forward to recognizing the great work that is being done throughout the division.
