“I’m looking forward to growing with Emory!” – Chenoa Lawrence

Chenoa Lawrence (pronounced shah-NO-ah) is the new student technology support coordinator for the Student Digital Life team. She spent the last year working for an artificial intelligence company called LivePerson as a service desk specialist II. Chenoa has also worked for seven years as an information systems administrator for Atlanta Technical College and three years as a certified technology support specialist for DeKalb County Schools.

Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Chenoa earned her bachelor’s degree in computer information systems from DeVry University and an MBA in network and communication management from the Keller Graduate School. She also carries a CompTIA Network+ certification.

Chenoa is currently engaged, and their wedding day is on his birthday, August 30, 2020! Her fiancé is also in higher education, serving as the financial aid director at Atlanta Technical College. Chenoa’s new hobby is gardening, and she loves staying active, doing outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.

“The SDL team has been extremely welcoming,” says Chenoa. “Although we are all working remotely, it was great having the opportunity to tour the campus as well as the Student Technology Support Service Desk. I’m excited to learn about the student population and I’m equally ecstatic about being an advocate for the students. I’m looking forward to growing with Emory!”
