Kathleen Fox, Clinical Informationist, WHSCL

Kathleen Fox is the newest clinical informationist in the Woodruff Health Sciences Center Library. She was the Eugene Garfield Resident in Science Libraries at the University of Pennsylvania Biomedical Library from 2018 until coming to Emory. Kathleen also spent more than two years as a medical librarian at New York Health and Hospitals/Elmhurst in Queens, NY.

Born in Queens, Kathleen earned an anthropology degree from SUNY at New Paltz and her Master of Library Science degree from CUNY at Queens College.

Prior to COVID, Kathleen loved to attend live music. The best concert she’s ever been to was Group Therapy 250 at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington, headlined by Above and Beyond. During the pandemic, Kathleen has enjoyed cooking, especially a Filipino/Italian fusion. “It’s a mixture of international tastes,” she said.

“I am excited to be embedded at the Grady and Midtown Hospitals,” said Kathleen, “As well as getting to know the team better, and enjoying life in Atlanta.”
