He previously spent seven years as a software engineer at the Virginia Tech University library where he participated in a Hydra implementation similar to one being planned at Emory.<\/p>\n<p>Collin was raised in Warrenton, VA (outside of Manassas), and earned his bachelor&#8217;s degree in business\u00a0information technology\u00a0from Virginia Tech.<\/p>\n<p>An avid backpacker, Collin tries to do a major trip every year with his brother and other friends. He has recently hiked at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pc.gc.ca\/eng\/pn-np\/ab\/banff\/index.aspx\">Banff National Park<\/a> in Canada, as well as in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/zion\/index.htm\">Zion National Park<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/brca\/index.htm\">Bryce Canyon<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Arches_National_Park\">Arches<\/a>.
