Janelle is a Ph.D. student in Ethics & Society at Emory University. Her work focuses on belonging, both as an affective experience and as a politics that includes and excludes across different lines of difference. She is specializing in feminist and womanist anticolonial thought, as well as ethnography and religious practices. Janelle previously earned a Master of Divinity at Candler School of Theology and has worked in the fields of refugee resettlement and community development.
