Nick Peterson

Engaging Afropessimist thought and the Black Radical Tradition, Nick’s work in Black practical theology interrogates humanist assumptions and orientations. Affirming the Afropessimist conviction that Blackness is a problem for thought, Nick questions the means by which Blackness is liberated into the human. An ordained deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Nick serves faithfully in his local church. He and his wife currently reside in Atlanta with their twin sons as he finishes his studies at Emory.
