Research:
Kristen is eFellows Postdoctoral Fellow (administered by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) with funding provided by the National Science Foundation (NSF)). Co-advised by Dr. Lena Ting and Dr. Gregory Sawicki, her research uses physiological inspiration to develop a generalizable framework for exoskeleton control that enhances balance during standing and walking. She aims to improve balance and reduce the risk of falling in high-risk individuals, including older adults, those with musculoskeletal injuries, or stroke survivors.
