Research:

I am a PhD candidate in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University where I am mentored by Professor Lena Ting. My research centers around developing neuromechanical models to help understand how the central nervous system controls movement. I have applied these models to young adult, old adult, and parkinsonian populations to develop a mechanistic understanding of the neurological impairments that underlie the balance impairments found in Parkinson’s disease.
