To understand this, I study the neural control, physiology, and mechanics of humans and the environments with which we interact. I use computer modelling and human-subject experiments in my research. My primary project now focusses on developing mechanistic models of muscle spindles using computer simulations to understand how our interactions with the environment affect our movements. During my PhD, I studied how we learn new walking gaits in novel environments, through a reinforcement learning framework.
