I have been familiar with the conversations around Open Source materials.\u00a0 I was not familiar with the websites where this week’s class material took us.\u00a0 I found the\u00a0sources fascinating.\u00a0 I really like the\u00a0Creative Commons website.\u00a0\u00a0 When it comes to copyright, our Pitts library staff has handled the details of what we can use.\u00a0 I’m not sure I want to move into their territory.\u00a0 I do feel like I know a lot more about these challenges after this week.\u00a0 I think I will still have Pitts staff check my work.<\/p>\n
I think the electronic world continues to move towards Open Resources.\u00a0 I realize that there is the other push towards protecting intellectual property.\u00a0 These two competing values are fighting it out.\u00a0 I would fall on the side of opening up the content for all.<\/p>\n
If we move toward a heutagogical model of learning, Open Educational Resources would have to be a major source of material\u00a0going forward.<\/p>\n
One side note:\u00a0 As a child, when I was bored, I would read the\u00a0 World Book Encyclopedia.\u00a0 At the end of the entry, would be a bibliography that would take me to other entries.\u00a0 I would create my own learning module.\u00a0 If only I had the internet then.\u00a0 This kind of learning was very\u00a0helpful to me.\u00a0 I see it as a possibility for others in this electronic\u00a0resourcing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
