To date, OA scholarship has taken the form of <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">digital articles, books, journals<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, textbooks, archives, and repositories, as well as<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0other forms of scholarly output\u2014all products of the collaborative relationships between authors, publishers, reviewers, and other key OA supporters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.openaccessweek.org\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">International Open Access Week<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\"> is an annual advocacy event organized by the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sparcopen.org\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">SPARC<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">), which works across the globe to encourage open access publishing. <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Created as a virtual replacement for Emory\u2019s in-person annual OA Week event in 2020, this site continues to provide a sampling of the collaborative work done to support inclusive open access publishing across the university.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Hear from Emory faculty whose books were published open access with support from<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/fchi.emory.edu\/digitalpublishing\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Digital Publishing in the Humanities<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">; learn about the open access <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">digital journals and publishing platforms<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> developed at and supported by the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/digitalscholarship.emory.edu\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Emory Center for Digital Scholarship<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">; and explore <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">recent articles<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> by faculty, staff, and students supported by <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sco.library.emory.edu\/open-access-publishing\/oa-funding-support\/emory-oa-fund.html\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Emory\u2019s Open Access Publishing Fund<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"none\">.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:1,&quot;335551620&quot;:1,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1602688563394{padding-right: 5% !important;padding-left: 5% !important;}&#8221;][vc_column][vc_column_text] Celebrating Open Access Scholarship at Emory University Open access (OA) literature is \u201cdigital, online, free of charge, and free of most copyright and licensing restrictions\u201d but producing it is never free.
