SOT Staff Highlight – Ashley Myers

This month we celebrate Ashley Myers and her 12-year work anniversary at Emory University. Ashley started her Emory career in the ORA Office of Technology Transfer, managing and marketing projects, events, conferences, and training related to research faculty and staff education. From there, she moved to Research Business Operations where she spent three years as a Program Coordinator providing training/technical support to internal business teams. In June 2017, Ashley moved into a formal training and communications role in ORA. Since February 2021, Ashley serves as a Training Design/Communications Manager on the Strategic Operations and Training (SOT) team. Ashley’s new responsibilities include management of the staff onboarding training and continuing education, development of instructional materials for web-based training, administration of learning content in Emory’s Learning Management Systems (LMS), website content management, and Emory ORA communications.

Ashley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology and a Master’s degree in Education specializing in Learning, Leadership, and Organizational Development from the University of Georgia. She is a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honors Society in Education and is a member of the professional talent development organization, Association for Talent Development (ATD).

Ashley brings a rich history of Emory and ORA knowledge to her new SOT role. We are grateful to have her on the training team, and we look forward to interacting with your training needs throughout the new year. Please join us in congratulating Ashley on her 12-year work anniversary and her new role within ORA.
