SOT Staff Highlight – Heather Lennon

The Research Training Team under Strategic Operations & Training (SOT) is pleased to welcome Heather Lennon as a new Training Design/Communications Manager. Heather joins us from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where she served as the Director of the Sponsored Programs Office for the College of Humanities & Sciences (CHS SPO). As the Director of the CHS SPO, Heather oversaw all pre-award and post-award actions for CHS. In her role, Heather provided training to VCU administrators and faculty in pre-and post-award administration. Heather is excited to share her expertise as a subject matter expert within ORA, assisting with RAE training, the CRA Study Program, and other SOT training and communication initiatives.

Heather received a B.A. in History and Political Science at Randolph-Macon College and an M.A. in History from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Heather is also a Certified Research Administrator. You can read Heather’s bio on the SOT website, though the best way to learn more about Heather is to reach out to her and welcome her to Emory’s Office of Research Administration.
