Ashlesha Kulkarni is the library’s 2018 Sara Gregory Memorial Scholarship recipient. Ashlesha is a first-year student from Jersey City, New Jersey and is majoring in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. The Sara Gregory Memorial Scholarship provides financial support to a rising sophomore and an outstanding student employee of the library. This scholarship goes to an outstanding student employee who best reflects the four principles we expect in our student employees:
- A professional attitude in working with the staff and their peers
- Flexibility in taking on any task assigned to them or any problem that may arise
- Invested in the success of library programs and the endeavor to improve upon them
- An approachable disposition that makes the library a safe and welcoming space to all
