Do you love reading? Love winning prizes? Then play Oxford Book Bingo this fall and get rewarded for your reading. Keep track of books you read from now until the end of the semester to win a prize and be entered in to the raffle. Stop by the library to pick up a bingo card or download the card from the bottom of this post!
How do you play?
Track books that you read that match the bingo prompts on your bingo card. Write the title of the book on the card. Titles may be used only once per card, and only one bingo card per person can be submitted. All Oxford students, staff, and faculty can play!
We will accept diagonal, horizontal and vertical bingo lines. See below:
You can also get a blackout where you complete every space. You may complete additional bingo lines for additional entries into the final raffle.
How do I submit my bingo card for the prize and raffle?
You can submit your bingo card to library staff or email the card to oxford library staff at ox-librarystaff [at] listserv [dot] cc [dot] emory [dot] edu.
We will only award ONE prize per participant. However all individuals who turn in a bingo card with a completed bingo will be entered into a final raffle. Those who complete multiple rows will receive multiple drawing entries (up to 4 entries per person). Only cards with the participants name and Emory email address will be entered into raffle.
The card must be submitted to the library before December 20th to be entered into the final raffle. The raffle will take place in January.
Does [book I read] count for [prompt on the card]?
Probably, all types of books are on the table, physical, audiobooks, eBooks, graphic novels. Some prompts may call for specific types of books, but most are open to interpretation.
What if I need some reading ideas?
You can ask a librarian for recommendations, but also check out the library Instagram, @OxfordCollegeLibrary and the Oxford College Library blog. Throughout the semester the library will post suggestions for various prompts.
