The tenured faculty of the Department of Philosophy at Emory University (Atlanta campus) condemn the Emory Administration’s authorization of the violent dispersal of student-led on-campus demonstrations at the hands of outside police forces on April 25, 2024. We stand for justice, peace, and deliberation, and oppose anti-Semitism and Islamophobia of all forms. We call for more thoughtful, creative, dialogic approaches from the administration to all Emory campus and community issues and actions.
