An Evening with Friends: Rare Musical Materials at Pitts Theology Library

Pitts Theology Library holds the largest collection of hymns and psalms in North America outside of the Library of Congress. This winter, you will have the opportunity to explore this extraordinary collection first-hand.

All are warmly welcome to join us for an Evening with Friends on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Refreshments will be served in the third floor lecture hall of Pitts Theology Library from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. At 6:00 and 6:30 pm, participants will have the opportunity to tour the library’s winter exhibit on “Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs.” From 7:00 – 8:00 pm, the curator, Dr. Stephen Crist (Department of Music, Emory College), will deliver a lecture on “Rare Musical Materials at Pitts Theology Library.”
