We especially encourage students who meet one or more of the following criteria to apply:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>from geographically underrepresented areas\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>first\u2011generation college students\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>economically disadvantaged\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>interested in serving underserved populations in physical therapy\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This intensive week immerses participants fully in the physical therapy profession. By the end of the program, participants will have gained exposure to multiple areas within the field and will have the information needed to become more competitive and successfully matriculate into Doctor of Physical Therapy programs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants will engage with some of the top faculty in physical therapy; experience interdisciplinary learning opportunities; receive mentorship from current DPT students, faculty, clinicians, and admissions specialists; and have access to Duke\u2019s state\u2011of\u2011the\u2011art facilities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Housing, meals, and local transportation will be provided for all participants during the program. Participants are responsible only for travel to and from campus. To be eligible, applicants must be current undergraduate students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of application.
