As part of this course I did research on how adolescents shape their identity. Specifically those who are immigrants or fist generation children of immigrants. Building of this research I interviewed young adults at Emory University who matched this criteria in order to get further insight into the process.
Additionally, as a way of spreading the stories and experiences of young adult immigrants and children of immigrants trying to navigate a duality of culture I have presented my research at the Public Anthropology Student showcase.
The purpose of this project is to share the experiences of those young adults who have gone through, and are still going through, the process of shaping their identity. Their image and advice is being shared with the hope of helping others who are going through a similar situation. Additionally, there is the option for submissions so that others can share their own lived experience
