Arielle Wallenstein

Hello!! My name is Arielle Wallenstein, my pronouns are she/her, and I am a junior studying Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. I am from Atlanta, Georgia, and I am the oldest of four children (also, my family adopted a dog named Aviv during the pandemic and I am OBSESSED with her). Some more fun facts about me are that I once took a wrong turn on an electric scooter and ended up on the highway, my favorite color is orange but I started color coding everything in pink as a joke and now I can’t stop, and I need to google approximately every 8th word because I can’t spell very well.

On a more related note, I decided to take a course in the English department because I have never been very good at reading or writing, and I wanted to improve these skills. I am the type of reader who will read 20 pages of a novel before realizing that I didn’t process anything I read, or who will need to re-read pages of a textbook over and over in order to understand what the text is explaining. I’m hoping that at the end of this course, I will develop skills and strategies to read quicker and with better comprehension.
