My midterm essay was a close reading analysis of the poem Invictus. I felt like analyzing the content itself was one of my strengths but I always struggle a little with coming up with a meaningful conclusion that does not come across as repetitive. I often find this difficult because I do not want to introduce any new analysis in the conclusion, but if I also don’t want to sound repetitive, it can be hard for me to come up with what to write. I would also like more guidance and practice with organizing my essays in a more cohesive way. These are both skills that I would like to cultivate.
