Reading Journal 9 – Danny Flores

  1. I was thinking of either doing a TikTok or a presentation. I have ZERO experience doing tiktoks but I thought since it is such a big source, especially now, for people in respect of hearing about news, learning about certain things, or just plain laughter, it might be nice to create one informational TikTok about my topic. I would also consider making a presentation mainly because it will allow me to talk about my topic in my words. That will give some leverage as to how I want to go about it.
  2. When I complete this assignment, I would want it to be an informational lecture/lesson to those who are not familiar with metaphor/HIV/AIDS. This also includes people who might have a strong opinion towards one of these topics. This will allow me to voice my thoughts on metaphor/HIV/AIDS and will be able to teach them or inform them about stuff they aren’t open to. This will impact the way I form out the presentation as I will possibly talk about the hardships people with AIDS have had to go through in history. I will talk about how certain metaphors have portrayed gay people in such a negative light in order for my audience to learn about different perspectives.
