The word/term I chose was “Ballroom Culture.” I want to develop an understanding of this term through an auditory medium so I chose to do so in a mini-podcast episode.
Potential Audience:
Podcast listeners who enjoy tid-bit information with a small opinionated piece either laced throughout or at the end. I think I would want to approach this, as it would only be a mini-podcast episode, as explaining to people who have a bit of knowledge already. I am targeting queer folk who perhaps do not have any sort of knowledge on ballroom except the voguing aspect or any sort of small glimpse.
The generic conventions of mini-auditory episodes would include:
Small introduction, fast-paced information
Briefness, quickness in speech
A sense of casualty that informs a majority of podcasts
