Correct Access to EPEX

There are several ways to gain access to EPEX, all of which are dependent upon the intended role within the system:

The PI Eligibility form should be used for anyone who is not going to be in an investigator role on a proposal who

  1. Has never submitted grants at Emory (not for investigators transferring proposals into Emory)
  2. is a student but will be the PI on a fellowship
  3. a staff person acting as a PI on a sponsored project

The Access to EPEX form should be fully signed and submitted for any Emory Employee (Investigators are exempt from this form) who will be submitting proposals in EPEX. In order to gain access, this form must be accompanied by proof of a passing score (70%) on the EPEX assessment, located in the EPEX UPK on the Compass website.

The Workflow Request Form should be used to request workflow access/removal for Approvers, Reviewers and those needing to be added/removed from the Ad Hoc list.

Each of these forms can be found on the EPEX page of the OSP  website: here and should be submitted to psgrants@emory.edu for processing. Any EPEX related questions should also be directed to psgrants.

EPEX training is available in person bi-monthly. Dates for in person training can be found on the Training page of the OSP and OGCA websites. Online training is available 24/7 via PeopleSoft UPK. The UPK can be accessed from the Training page of the compass website: here
