Welcome Emory's New IRB Director

The Office of Research Administration is pleased to announce that Rebecca Rousselle is the new Director of Emory’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) as of September 2013. Rebecca has worked five years with Emory’s IRB. Most recently she stepped into the Interim Director position following the resignation of Sarah Putney from the directorship in April of this year. Rebecca came to Emory in 2008 from Harvard University’s IRB.

With her knowledge of Emory’s IRB and the federal rules and regulations, Rebecca will continue to move Emory’s IRB along its positive trajectory. Rebecca is a graduate of Smith College with a Bachelor’s in Mathematics and a minor in Psychology. Previously, she coordinated the development of an online training in human research protections and oversaw the development of an IRB database design among other accomplishments. Please welcome and congratulate Rebecca into the IRB Director position at Emory University.
