NIH Salary Cap for 2018 – Increased to $189,600

NIH has now issued notice NOT-OD-18-137 announcing the salary cap for Fiscal Year 2018. The salary cap continues to be aligned with the Executive Level II salary. The Executive Level II salary has been increased to $189,600 for FY18 and is effective January 7, 2018. All proposals to NIH may now use the new salary cap for budgeting purposes. For active awards, if funds are available, NIH allows grantees to rebudget funds to accommodate the new cap with the January 7, 2018 effective date. However, no additional funds will be provided.
