Let’s celebrate! Training Compliance has improved over the past year. 

Safety training is an administrative control in addition to having standard operating procedures and lab-specific training. Starting in May 2018, the EHSO training modules for Research Lab Safety, Bloodborne pathogens (BBP), Biosafety, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety were migrated to BioRAFT.  

See below how as a community, Emory research personnel decreased the number of expired training for the most common training modules. 

Over the past 12 months, we also launched a new Research Lab Safety Refresher training module in BioRAFT, which is now completed, following the initial Research Lab Safety module. We will announce additional enhancements to our training modules in future issues of the Lab Rat. 

 Tips for completing your training: 

• Researchers receive multiple reminders before the training module is due and thereafter the supervisor is notified until the training is updated. 
• As you reach the last slide of the training, ensure that you scroll to the bottom and click the “Next” button. 
• Certificates do not need to be printed, these are available to the individual, the supervisor and the lab compliance liaison. 
• Use the most recent version of your web browser and do not use Internet Explorer.
