  • A training plan is being developed for this first phase by Courtney Miller, Corporate Director, Emory Digital Training Academy, and her team. The project team will work closely with the Insight team and Emory Digital Training Academy to develop training materials and a deployment plan.

Phase 1: Agreement Types (Proposals and Funded Agreements, MTAs, CDAs, DUAs):

  • Agreement workflow development has commenced! Insight uses workflows to ensure accurate routing of each new Agreements to the correct Research Office. When built, workflows ensure that Agreements automatically arrive at the correct Research Office.
  • The configuration of deliverables started in November. Working sessions have been taking place with OSP, RGC, and OTT
  • Deliverables enable the assignment of tasks to manage a proposal and award.
  • Deliverables also ensure a clear view of who did what/when, and
  • How long each step has taken.

Phase 1: Humans and Meetings Management:

  • The building of Humans form sets (Emory-customized data collection templates) is almost complete. Final touches are being made and they will be ready for validation after the winter break.

Phase 1: Disclosures:

  • The building of form sets by the Insight team are expected to conclude mid-December. The validation process for these forms will take place after the winter break.

Phase 1: Change Management:

  • Even exciting changes like Insight can be challenging to navigate! Our change management Dragon Team will ensure we implement changes effectively and with minimal disruption.
  • The Dragon Team (also known as Strategic Operations) is a process improvement unit within the Office of Research Administration. The Dragon Team is tasked with leading the people side of change for Insight with assistance from the Guiding Coalition. This coalition is a selected group of staff representing stakeholders involved in research administration.  Together, this team will play a crucial role in
    • Meeting our goals of increasing awareness
    • Communicating benefits
    • Describing changes
    • Reassuring faculty and staff during the implementation
