Effective June 1, 2025, OCR and WISC have combined to streamline and simplify research operations at Emory. The newly formed department is now known as the Emory Clinical Research Office (ECRO) and is led by R. Donald Harvey, Vice President for Clinical Research, and Robin Ginn, Associate Vice President for Clinical Research, under the Woodruff Health Sciences Center. ECRO includes the following divisions: Pre-Award, Clinical Trials Compliance, Clinical Research Support Services (CRSS), and Post-Award Invoicing.
This merger marks the first step in a larger effort to align resources and expertise in support of the Emory research community. As ECRO moves forward, the department is committed to strengthening communication with our research partners, improving operational efficiency, accelerating trial activation timelines, reducing financial deficits, and increasing transparency across all processes.
Within FY2026, ECRO will introduce a new website and other communication channels for your needs. For now, continue using OCR’s website and email address for your research needs, questions, or concerns. If you would like more information, you can contact ocr@emory.edu.
