A\u00a0volunteer<\/strong>\u00a0is an individual who is not affiliated with Emory (non-Emory Student or non-Emory Personnel)-See Emory University Policy 4.83<\/p>\n

A\u00a0minor<\/strong>\u00a0is any person who has not attained 18 years of age and who is not enrolled in an Emory University or Oxford College regular catalog course or degree program- See Emory University Policy 7.21<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All volunteers and minors who intend to participate in a research\u00a0laboratory at Emory University MUST:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Complete the Volunteer or Minor form and send to\u00a0biosafe@emory.edu<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. PI, Supervisor, or\u00a0other Lab Contact must request\u00a0a guest account\u00a0for both minors and volunteers at\u00a0https:\/\/apps.hr.emory.edu\/elms\/external<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Provide documentation\u00a0of\u00a0Hepatitis B vaccine\u00a0(3 doses\u00a0and<\/u><\/strong> antibody titer), if working with any human source material<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n\n\n

    Minor<\/td>\nRegister for Lab Safety Awareness for High School Students (course code: 240155). This is training is in a classroom format but ELMS registration is required.
