There is a new employee starting at Emory, how can I <\/strong>route a proposal before they arrive?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 1 \u2013 Confirm their formal appointment at the institution:<\/p>\n

You will need to have a signed letter that they have committed to coming to Emory.<\/p>\n

Step 2 \u2013 Establish their Compass record:<\/p>\n

Once you have the signed commitment letter, please follow the steps below outlined on the EPEX FAQ Page: \u00a0here<\/a><\/p>\n

What do I do if my PI is not in the list of available PIs?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

If the PI is a new employee and does not have an EMPLID, contact your HR Rep as she\/he needs a WOC appointment. If the HR Rep is unable to resolve the issue, contact Susan Newborn in Data Services at x77563 or Sherri Stodgill in HR at x76066.<\/p>\n

Step 3 \u2013 Complete the standard PI eligibility paperwork:<\/p>\n

Once you have an Employee ID and a User ID as well as an active WOC appointment, you will need to submit a PI Eligible Form. The PI Eligible form is located on the OSP\/ EPEX Website at here.<\/a> Once this form is com- pleted and signed, it should be e-mailed to PSGrants@emory.edu.<\/a> Once all signatures have been received and PSGrants has completed the processing of the form, you will be able to begin creating your proposal.<\/p>\n
