--><\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Add temper to clay, ensuring temper is thoroughly distributed throughout the clay&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Form clay into desired shape&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Allow clay to dry for&nbsp;at least&nbsp;24 hours&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">OPTIONAL: when clay reaches the leather hard stage, the clay can be burnished using the back of a spoon or a smooth stone. Rub a high-heat oil-like vegetable oil on the surface of the clay with fingers, allow the oil to absorb, and go over the clay object with the spoon\/smooth stone.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">After the clay is fully dried, prepare watermelon tub&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Add sawdust to the kiln&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Using a twisted piece of newspaper or a safety lighter light a section of the sawdust on fire&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Allow the fire to spread throughout the tub, agitate with a stick if necessary&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Wrap dried clay pieces&nbsp;individually&nbsp;with newspaper&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Wearing heat resistant gloves add clay pieces to fire with tongs\/trash grabber&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Cover with more leaves\/straw\/sawdust&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Cover tub&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Let the fire burn for 8-12 hours, or until fire burns out&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Allow the tub to cool&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333\">Remove pieces with tongs\/trash grabber&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><!-- \/wp:list --><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333\"><!-- wp:image {\"align\":\"center\",\"className\":\"is-style-default\"} --><\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<figure><span style=\"color: #333333\">&nbsp;
