The CUP deal is known as a \u201cread and publish deal\u201d since it continues our access to the same content we have now (the \u201cread\u201d part) and it supports open access publishing (the \u201cpublish\u201d component). <strong>This deal eliminates article publishing charges (APCs) for Emory authors publishing in CUP journals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Starting January 1, 2022, all Emory University researchers (i.e., anyone with an emory.edu email address) can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/services\/open-research\/open-access\">publish open access\u00a0in\u00a0<\/a>all\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/what-we-publish\/journals\">Cambridge Journals\u00a0<\/a>with no APCs\u00a0to\u00a0maximize the accessibility, availability,\u00a0and impact of Emory research.<\/p>\n<p>When you are accepted for publication in a CUP journal, you will be asked if you wish to publish your research open access.\u00a0Respond in the affirmative, and\u00a0no further action is required on your part.\u00a0<strong>The agreement\u00a0applies to<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>all articles<\/strong><strong>\u00a0in CUP journals authored by Emory University researchers that are accepted for\u00a0publication\u00a0between January 1, 2022,\u00a0and December 31, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This agreement includes over 380 peer-reviewed journals.
