To celebrate this year, the School of Medicine’s Office of Equity and Inclusion’s 3rd annual Juneteenth program is partnering with Emory Healthcare, the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing,\u200b Rollins School of Public Health, and Grady Health System to host an online screening of the film Power to Heal: Medicare and the Civil Rights Revolution<\/i>. The screening will be followed by an online panel of distinct voices from Emory and Grady.\u200b<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The online program will be hosted by Dr. Sheryl Heron and moderated by Drs. Nate Spell and Nancy DeSousa. The \u200bpanelists \u200binclude Drs. Nanette Wenger, (a renowned cardiologist who has worked for decades at Grady and featured in the film), Joanne McGriff (Chief Diversity Officer – RSPH), Yolanda Wimberly (Chief Health Equity Officer Grady Health System), Mr. Ildemaro Gonzalez (Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer – EHC), Jasmine Clark (SON & Georgia House of Representatives, District 108), and Jasmin Eatman (Emory MD\/PhD student \/ Spelman Graduate). We look forward to an engaging discussion on the historic struggle to secure equal and adequate access to healthcare for all Americans.<\/div>\n
