Health Sciences Library hosts \u201cFrom DNA to Beer\u201d Exhibit and Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently, the Woodruff Health Sciences Center Library exhibited \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nlm.nih.gov\/exhibition\/fromdnatobeer\/\">From DNA to Beer<\/a>,\u201d an exhibit by the National Library of Medicine.\u00a0\u00a0The exhibit explored how bacteria, yeasts, and molds can cause sickness and restore health, and it highlighted how scientists have harnessed these microbes to manufacture both new medicines and potent potables.\u00a0 On February 23, the Health Sciences Library hosted a seminar and exhibit viewing reception.\u00a0 Adam Beauchamp, co-founder and Brewmaster of Creature Comforts Brewing, Athens, Georgia, and former student in the Graduate Division of Biological and Biomedical Sciences Division, presented on the science behind brewing beer.\u00a0 The event attracted close to one hundred attendees.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_685\"
